Sellerwerk vs Helium10 — feature by feature

We get this question a lot: “Should I run Sellerwerk or Helium10?”The honest answer is “it depends what you need.” This article walks through where each tool is genuinely stronger. We've documented Helium10's feature set in detail (research, pricing tiers, hidden fees) so this comparison is evidence-based, not marketing copy.

The 30-second summary

  • Helium10 is broader. Roughly 30 tools across product research, keyword research, listing optimization, PPC, operations, and analytics. PPC is one module of many.
  • Sellerwerk is deeper on PPC + profitability. Fewer tools, more depth in each, no per-spend or per-refund success fees, EU-hosted.
  • Pick Helium10 if your main job is finding new products to launch (Black Box, X-Ray, Trendster) or writing listings from scratch (Scribbles, Frankenstein).
  • Pick Sellerwerk if you already sell, want deep PPC automation + profit tracking + refund recovery, and care about flat pricing without spend-percentage fees.

Feature-by-feature, honest

Product research (find new products to launch)

Helium10 wins.Black Box (product database with BSR/revenue filters), X-Ray (Chrome extension that overlays stats on Amazon search pages), and Trendster (trend charts) are a strong set. Sellerwerk doesn't build product-research tools — that's not in our roadmap. If discovering new product opportunities is your daily job, Helium10 is the right tool.

Keyword research

Both are solid, different shapes. Helium10 has Cerebro (reverse-ASIN — what keywords does my competitor rank for?) and Magnet (seed-based suggester). Sellerwerk has the Intelligence-Research tool (ASIN-based, with our IQ score combining volume + conversion + ACoS efficiency, see keyword research tool). We don't have a Magnet equivalent yet — it's on the Q3-2026 roadmap as part of our Keyword-Intelligence-Hub-v2.

Listing optimization

Helium10 wins. Scribbles (listing-builder), Frankenstein (keyword-cleanup), Index Checker (which keywords is your listing actually indexed on?) are mature and well-known. Sellerwerk shows you a listing score with 5 components (see listing score) — diagnosis, not a builder. We don't generate copy for you.

PPC automation (the daily ad-management work)

This is where we're built deeper. Helium10's PPC module is “Helium 10 Ads” (formerly Adtomic), one of 30 tools. Sellerwerk is PPC-first — rule builder with natural-language preview, dry-run before save, cooldowns, weekly audit-log review, full undo. Plus we charge no percentage of your ad spend, while Helium10 charges 2% of managed spend on Platinum+ tiers.

Refund recovery (FBA reimbursements)

Sellerwerk is materially cheaper. Helium10 charges 10% of the recovered refund amount via their Refund-Genie / Managed-Refunds product. Sellerwerk charges zero percent of recovered amounts — see FBA refunds. On a seller with €5,000 in annual recovered reimbursements that's €500 / year saved.

Profitability tracking

Both have it. Helium10 Profits and Sellerwerk Profitability both pull FBA fees, storage fees, PPC spend, and compute true profit per ASIN. Helium10 Profits requires Diamond-tier ($279+/mo). Sellerwerk has profitability from Pro (€129/mo).

Inventory protection

Helium10 covers more ASINs at higher tiers. Inventory Protector at Platinum covers 40 ASINs, Diamond covers 500. Sellerwerk inventory-aware rules (auto-pause when stock is low) work on every ASIN you have, no slot limits — see rule preview.

Email follow-up to buyers

Helium10 has Follow-Up.Sellerwerk doesn't — buyer email automation isn't in our roadmap. If you depend on follow-up emails, Helium10 covers that.

Browser extension

Helium10 has X-Ray.Sellerwerk doesn't ship a Chrome extension. If you do daily research on Amazon product pages and want stats overlaid inline, Helium10 wins.

Where pricing matters

Helium10's sticker prices are clean: $29 / $99-129 / $279-359 / $1,499+. The complete picture includes two extras most users don't notice on signup:

  • 2% of managed ad spend on Platinum+ tiers (this used to be Diamond-only; pushed down to Platinum in 2025).
  • 10% of recovered FBA reimbursements on Diamond+ via Refund-Genie / Managed Refunds.

On a seller running €10,000/month ad spend with €250/month in recovered reimbursements: Helium10 Diamond ≈ €482/month after fees. Sellerwerk Pro is €129/month flat. The gap widens with scale: at €50,000 ad spend Helium10 is ~€1,300/month, Sellerwerk Pro stays €129. We don't charge a percentage of your work.

The honest decision tree

  1. You launch new products often?Helium10. We don't build product-research tools.
  2. You write listings from scratch?Helium10 (Scribbles). We diagnose listings, we don't generate them.
  3. You depend on buyer follow-up emails? Helium10. We don't do email automation.
  4. You manage existing listings, want deep PPC + flat pricing + refund recovery without success fees? Sellerwerk.
  5. You're EU-based and care about EU-hosted data, DACH-native UI, GDPR-clean Amazon-token handling? Sellerwerk.
  6. You want both? Many sellers run Helium10 for research and a dedicated PPC tool for ad management. The combination is common.

What we don't claim

  • We don't claim Sellerwerk “replaces” Helium10. They have tools we don't have. If you need those, use them.
  • We don't claim our PPC is “better AI”. Our rules are explainable (see AI transparency) — you read the sentence and decide.
  • We don't claim Helium10 is bad. Helium10 is a strong tool. We're built for a different job.
